In celebration of Breastfeeding Awareness Month, Silliman University Medical Center proudly joins the nation in promoting the vital importance of breastfeeding.

SUMC partners with the Department of Health (DOH) to support, promote, and protect breastfeeding practices through the Association of Mother’s Milk Advocates (AMoMA), which is commemorating its 1st anniversary this year.

To further raise awareness, a special forum will be held on August 7, 2025, featuring breastfeeding advocate Dr. Tanya S. Ramas-Uypitching, a practicing dermatologist specializing in laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology.

At SUMC, we don’t just provide services — we offer compassionate support every step of the way, from pregnancy through those precious first months with your newborn.
