Earlier today, the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism welcomed Dr. Ting-I Lee and Dr. Shao En-Hung, delegates from Taipei Municipal Wanfang Hospital. They were received at the PGH Directors's office followed by a short program with our department chair Dr. Evelyn Salido and division chief Dr. Gabriel Jasul Jr., ending with a tour of hospital facilities and key locations such as the radioisotope lab and outpatient department.

The partnership was made possible through the efforts of PGH for which Dr. Ralph Li was one of the representatives during the exchange at Wanfang Hospital last year. Here's to collaboration across countries for advancing endocrinology services and care!

Metabolic syndrome is a pressing public health concern which has several complications and strategies to both prevent and control.

We invite everyone to this year’s Dr. Mary Anne Lim-Abrahan Professorial Chair Lecture on Metabolic Syndrome Among Filipinos and Asians to be delivered by Dr. Gabriel Jasul Jr. with Dr. Mia Fojas as the session’s moderator.

It will be held this September 5, 2025 at Novotel Manila Araneta during the Annual Convention of the Philippine Association for the Study of Overweight and Obesity.

Komunidad Patatagin, Hamon ng Diabetes Harapin!

Last July 21, the Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism kick started the celebration of Diabetes Awareness Week with a Nutrition and Fitness lecture joined by Ms. Renezzi Libay and Ms. Relly Palpallatoc of PGH Nutrition and Dr. Ramon Dela Peña of PGH Rehab Medicine. A live cooking demonstration of healthy cabbage and pork rolls was done for participants to try at home

Amidst the rains, the annual DAW Lay Forum was conducted last July 25 wherein patients of the DM clinic learned about diabetes through a lecture and open forum. The module used was developed by the PCEDM.

A big thank you to all our partners and participants for making the 2-day activity a success despite the weather conditions! Laging tatandaan, APAT DAPAT! 🍎🍭
