Did you know up to 45% of dementia cases could be delayed or even prevented?
New research commissioned by The Lancet reveals that almost half of cases of dementia could potentially be delayed or reduced, marking a 5% increase from their 2020 findings. The updated study also identified two new risk factors, failing eyesight and elevated LDL cholesterol levels, bringing the total number of risk factors to 14. Dementia cases are forecast to reach 78 million by 2030, but this is not a certainty. There is so much we can do, but every second is vital to making the world better for those living with dementia and their carers, today and in the future, we must act now.
