We're incredibly excited to share an update on the dedication and commitment to excellence by one of our own, Dr. Nicole Sacayan - Quitay!

Dr. Quitay is currently completing her prestigious Clinical Research Fellowship in Endoscopic Ear Surgery at the renowned Endoscopic Ear Surgery Center at Ota General Hospital in Kanagawa, Japan, under the mentorship of the globally respected Professor Seiji Kakehata, Dr. Quitay has been immersed in cutting-edge, minimally invasive techniques for treating ear conditions.

Her return is a major win for patient care in the Bicol Region. The skills and knowledge she has acquired in Endoscopic Ear Surgery will significantly improve the quality and standard of ENT-HNS patient care right here in our community.

This is a testament to the power of international fellowship trainings in equipping our local specialists with world-class expertise to better serve our fellow Bicolanos.

The Department of ENT is currently accepting new applicants for the residency program.

For those who may not have heard yet, Dr. Kath Cruz is currently in Boston for a one-year training in Minimally Invasive Thoracic Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. She’s super excited for this opportunity to learn, grow, and bring home new skills.

While she’s away, she won’t be available for consultations or clinic schedules. Thank you for the understanding and support!

She’ll be back and ready to see everyone again in August 2026. 💙

Congratulations to our very own Dr. Nicole Sacayan-Quitay for presenting her research on “Ergonomic Risks in Ear Surgeries”
at the Japan Otologic Society Annual Meeting last October 29, 2025 at Fukuoka, Japan.

Doc Nicole will be finishing her Fellowship in Endoscope Ear Surgery in Japan by the end of this month and be back to serve her patients when she returns 👂
