LIFE-SAVING LEGACY: 194 Heroes United for a Cause

The iGalimuyod Blood Drive became a gigantic display of unity, compassion, and bayanihan spirit as residents of Galimuyod, along with participants from neighboring communities, came together to support this life-saving legacy. Through the strong collaboration of the Ilocos Sur Medical Center, the Rural Health Unit (RHU) of Galimuyod, and the Department of Health (DOH), the activity was successfully carried out, ensuring safe and organized blood collection for those in need.

A total of 194 successful blood donors stepped forward and answered the call to help save lives—each donation carrying hope for patients in need of urgent care, surgeries, and medical treatments. This remarkable turnout reflects the generosity and solidarity of the people, proving that even a simple act of giving can make a lasting impact on countless lives.

To all the donors, volunteers, health workers, and partners who dedicated their time and effort, your kindness and commitment truly embody the spirit of selfless service. The success of this initiative would not have been possible without your unwavering support.

​This milestone was fueled by the incredible synergy between LGU Galimuyod, Brgy. McKinley, the DOH, Ilocos Sur Medical Center, and the Southern Ilocos Sur Medical Society.

​What we delivered to the community:

​Preventive Care: Health assessments, lab services, and NCD profiling.

​Women’s Health: Breast examinations and VIA screenings.

​Dental Services: Oral exams, fluoride application, and extractions.

​Social Support: On-site PhilHealth registration and record updates.

​Essentials: Free medications, Nutriboxes, and Breastfeeding kits.

​A massive thank you to our healthcare heroes and local leaders. Together, we are building a healthier, more resilient Galimuyod!
