Brothers and sisters, prayer warriors!
Pray for 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐦, the Mountain of God.
Remember who defeated our Jericho for us?
Let us pray for Israel
Let us pray for the House of Our Father God
Let us pray for the House of Peace
Let us pray for the Thrones for Judgment
Let us pray for the Thrones of the House of David
Let us pray for 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐦, the mountain of God.
Canaan
- The "Promised Land", the earthly shadow of the eternal inheritance
- The land of rest
- The land flowing with milk and honey, a place of abundance and security
- Semitic root kn‘ (כנע), which may mean "to be low, humble, or subjugated. This reflects the required attitude of humility and obedience before God.
Exodus 3:8

8 So I have come down to rescue them from the hand of the Egyptians and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land, a land flowing with milk and honey—the home of the Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Hivites and Jebusites.
Deuteronomy 12:9-10

9 since you have not yet reached the resting place and the inheritance the Lord your God is giving you. 10 But you will cross the Jordan and settle in the land the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance, and he will give you rest from all your enemies around you so that you will live in safety.
Jericho
- The first city conquered by Israelites when entering the Promised Land
- Symbol of life's challenges, dangers, and hardships. Jericho is known for its rough and dangerous terrain
- Symbolizes the walls of sin and death that stand in the way of eternal life
Hebrews 11:30
New International Version
30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell, after the army had marched around them for seven days.
Joshua 6:1-2
New International Version
6 Now the gates of Jericho were securely barred because of the Israelites. No one went out and no one came in.
2 Then the Lord said to Joshua, “See, I have delivered Jericho into your hands, along with its king and its fighting men.
𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐦
- Mountain of God
- Location is the old Canaan, the Promised Land
- Positioned much higher than Jericho
- Hebrew name is Yerushalayim (יְרוּשָׁלַיִם)
- Yeru" (ירו) is related to the Hebrew verb meaning “to establish” or “to lay a foundation
- Shalom" (שָׁלוֹם) is the Hebrew word for peace
- City of Peace (or city where peace was established)
- The city where the Temple was built, the center of worship, and where God’s presence was believed to reside among His people
Isaiah 2:2-3

2 In the last days
the mountain of the Lord’s temple will be established
as the highest of the mountains;
it will be exalted above the hills,
and all nations will stream to it.
3 Many peoples will come and say,
“Come, let us go up to the mountain of the Lord,
to the temple of the God of Jacob.
He will teach us his ways,
so that we may walk in his paths.”
The law will go out from Zion,
the word of the Lord from 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐦.
Revelation 21:2-3

Psalm 122
A song of ascents. Of David.
1 I rejoiced with those who said to me,
“Let us go to the house of the Lord.”
2 Our feet are standing
in your gates, Jerusalem.
3 Jerusalem is built like a city
that is closely compacted together.
4 That is where the tribes go up—
the tribes of the Lord—
to praise the name of the Lord
according to the statute given to Israel.
5 There stand the thrones for judgment,
the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pray for the peace of 𝐉𝐞𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐦:
“May those who love you be secure.
7 May there be peace within your walls
and security within your citadels.”
8 For the sake of my family and friends,
I will say, “Peace be within you.”
9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will seek your prosperity.
