The Department of Health (DOH) and LuzonHealth in partnership with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) conducted a Peer Education Training last December 1-3, 2015 at Hotel H2O, Manila in which our school participated by sending 10 students in which 6 came from the G-8 council and 4 from the G-9 councill. The students were accompanied by 3 teachers, 1 guidance counselor and our school nurse, as their advisers. It aims to develop a core-group of peer educators, who can assist in generating awareness and demand for adolescent-friendly information/education and services on adolescent sexuality, reproductive health including teen pregnancy prevention through the ‘Teen Health Kiosk’ established in the school.

The Teen Health Club successfully concluded the final phase of its recruitment drive through the "United for Health: Oath-Taking Ceremony of Newly Inducted Teen Health Club Members" activity held last January 9, 2026. The afternoon was filled with engaging games and meaningful activities that highlighted teamwork, leadership, and commitment to health advocacy. This was followed by the oath-taking ceremony of newly inducted members, the recognition of dedicated officers and active members, and a face-to-face election to fill vacant leadership positions—marking a significant milestone for the organization.

P.S. All activities were closely supervised and properly managed to ensure everyone’s safety while having fun, while also maintaining order and not disturbing others within the school premises.

Before this year ends, Teen Health Club wants to remind you: even if it feels like you didn’t achieve much, you survived moments that once felt impossible. The nights you cried alone, the mornings you forced yourself out of bed, and the times you wanted to give up but chose to stay—all of that mattered. Through the quiet wins, the heavy days, and the battles no one else saw, you made it through the entire year. This is your sign to be proud of yourself. As we welcome 2026, Teen Health Club encourages you to honor your strength and resilience. You’re still here, still standing, still trying—and that alone deserves to be celebrated. ✨💚

🧣 So this is me swallowing my pride,
Standin' in front of you sayin’, “I’m sorry for that night.”
And I go back to December all the time...

In the same way that December brings us moments we return to, the Parol Lighting Ceremony of the Innovative Alliance of Skilled Students (IASS) became a night worth remembering. Beneath the glow of countless stars and vibrant parols, student organizations gathered as one, filling the campus with warmth, color, and shared stories. The music of A3L carried through the air, turning the evening into a tapestry of harmony and celebration.

The Teen Health Club (THC) is deeply grateful to IASS for opening the doors to this luminous tradition. It was a reminder that light finds its way to those who come together, making this December brighter, more meaningful, and beautifully alive.

Every December 1, the global community observes World AIDS Day to raise awareness about AIDS (Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome), a condition caused by the HIV virus that severely weakens the immune system. Although there is no cure yet, modern HIV treatment allows individuals to live long, healthy, and productive lives. This day serves as a reminder of the importance of education, access to testing, early treatment, and the continuous fight against stigma and discrimination.

World AIDS Day emphasizes the need for sustained political commitment, international cooperation, and human-rights-centered approaches to effectively address the HIV/AIDS epidemic. The 2025 theme, “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response,” highlights the urgency of strengthening health systems, ensuring equitable access to care, and supporting communities most affected by HIV.

As Ms. Byanyima stated, “Together, we can still end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030—if we act with urgency, unity, and unwavering commitment.”

This commemoration calls on all of us to remain informed, compassionate, and proactive in supporting efforts to end AIDS and uphold the dignity and rights of everyone affected.

The GMATHS Teen Health Club and Peer Counseling Group extends its warmest gratitude to everyone who took part in the Mental Health Symposium last November 21, 2025. In celebration of "Breaking The Stigma: Let's Talk About Mental Health", both organization poured their hearts into creating a safe, welcoming space where students could learn, reflect, and feel heard.

From planning to ex*****on, the GMATHS Teen Health Club and Peer Counseling Group worked with compassion and dedication to ensure that each message about mental health reached students meaningfully. With empathy as our foundation, we aimed to remind everyone that mental health deserves care, attention, and open conversation.

This event became a testament to what young advocates can achieve when they work together—sharing strength, hope, and understanding with their fellow students. As we continue this journey, THC remains committed to fostering a school community where every story matters and no one feels alone. 🩵💗

They always tell us to check on our loved ones —
but how often do we really listen when someone says, “I’m fine”?

Behind bright smiles and comforting words, some are quietly breaking.
Even the strongest, even the advocates, even the ones who remind others to hold on—sometimes they forget to hold themselves.

It’s heartbreaking how “mental health matters” only becomes loud when another name turns into a hashtag.
But advocacy shouldn’t wait for tragedy.
It should live in the everyday — in compassion, in presence, in the courage to ask and truly listen.

Let this not be another passing post.
Let it be a promise —
to check in, to care deeply, to stay kind.

Because healing doesn’t start in the spotlight.
It starts when someone asks, “How are you, really?” — and means it.

Mental health matters. Today. Tomorrow. Always.
