๐๐ฒ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป๐๐พ๐ ๐๐ถ๐๐, ๐ฃ๐ต๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐ โ In the recently concluded Scholars Technopreneurship Training Program (STTP) Demo Day held in General Santos City, scholars from the College of Agriculture of Mindanao State University โ General Santos City (MSU-GSC) proved their strength in innovation and entrepreneurship by bagging major awards. Both alumni and current students of the College stood out among participants from different institutions, demonstrating the ingenuity and creativity of young Filipinos in shaping technology-driven solutions.
The team SustanEx was hailed as 1st Runner-Up, with members Christeen Arquiza (BSABE โ Alumni), Michael Daniel Santos (BSABE โ Alumni), Christelle Jann Segundo (BSABE โ Alumni), Regine Rose Ferrer (BSABE โ 4th Year), Rhona Jean Tomarong (BSABE โ 4th Year), Betty May Jam Tuazon (BSABM โ Alumni), and Darwin Castillo (BSABM โ 4th Year). Their project impressed the judges with its practical application in the agricultural sector, combining sustainability and technology to address pressing challenges.
Meanwhile, the team BayawTech secured the 2nd Runner-Up spot. The group was composed of Zyrelle Canlas (BSABE โ Alumni), Sakura Kea Yamazaki (BSABE โ Alumni), Fristine Panes (BSABE โ Alumni), Renz Marelle Noval (BSABE โ 4th Year), Glorien May Nacario (BSABE โ 4th Year), Rose Octaviano (BSABE โ 4th Year, USM), and Florienne Faith Tambio (BSABE โ 4th Year, USM).
The STTP Demo Day brought together students from various institutions, each presenting entrepreneurial ideas and scientific breakthroughs designed to address real-world problems. For the MSU College of Agriculture, the victories of SustanEx and BayawTech serve as a testament to the institutionโs commitment to nurturing globally competitive graduates who are not only skilled in their respective fields but also forward-thinking in creating solutions for society.
