St. Elizabeth Hospital recently held a meaningful and empowering Heart Health Forum that brought together patients, families, and healthcare advocates in one heartfelt celebration of life and recovery.
Our heartfelt thanks to Dr. Denise Ruth Ruiz, Pediatric Cardiologist, for her enlightening talk on โSpotting Heart Problems in Children,โ where she emphasized early detection and timely intervention in safeguarding our childrenโs hearts. We also thank Dr. Kiershane Joven for simplifying and deepening our understanding of โUnderstanding Peripheral Vascular Diseases (PVD) in Adults,โ reminding everyone that heart and vascular health is a lifelong commitment.
Beyond the lectures, the forum became a celebration of courage as we honored our heart warriors, patients who bravely underwent angiogram, angioplasty, bypass surgery, and open-heart procedures. Their milestones are living proof that with expert care and faith, healing is possible.
One of the most touching moments of the event was the testimony of Raquel Eslaban, mother of Joriel Eslaban, who was diagnosed with ASD. She shared their familyโs struggles, fears, and ultimate triumph when her daughter successfully underwent surgery. Her story of hope and gratitude reflected not only clinical excellence, but compassionate care experienced at St. Elizabeth Hospital.
Equally inspiring was Mr. Alfredo Yap, a triple bypass surgery survivor, who expressed his deep gratitude to the hospital. His story reminded everyone that healing goes beyond procedures, it is powered by community, compassion, and serbisyong mula sa puso, para sa puso.
The celebration was made even more joyful with exciting raffles, hearty treats, and warm fellowship shared by everyone in attendance.
At St. Elizabeth Hospital, we donโt just treat hearts, we journey with them.
