Young Voices General Santos City Advocates of Young People with Disabilities

Young Voices are groups of talented 16 – 25 year old “youths with disabilities” (YWDs) who work to advocate and promote
equal rights for the disabled community and to raise awareness of the
United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons With Disabilities (UNCRPD). Young Voices is a global project of Leonard Cheshire Disability and there are Young Voices groups in 19 countries around the world.

In the Philippines, Young Voices is one of the core programmes of the LCD Philippines Foundation, currently there are Four (4) YV Chapters in the
Philippines; YV NCR, Cavite,Iloilo, and General Santos City

Our Story

Young Voices is a group of dynamic 16 – 25 year old “Youths with Disabilities” (YWDs) who work to advocate and promote equal rights for the disabled community and to raise awareness of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons With Disabilities (UNCRPD). Young Voices is a global project of Leonard Cheshire, 19 YV groups in the world. In the Philippines Young Voices is one of the core programmes of the LCD Philippines Foundation Inc. along with Inclusive Education and Economic Empowerment. Currently we have four (4) YV Chapters organized in the country; YV NCR, Cavite,Iloilo, and General Santos City.
