NEWBORN SCREENING

Ang kahalagahan ng newborn screening ay napakahalaga upang matukoy agad ang mga posibleng sakit o kondisyon na maaaring makaapekto sa kalusugan ng isang bagong silang na sanggol. Sa pamamagitan nito, maagang natutukoy ang mga sakit tulad ng congenital hypothyroidism, phenylketonuria, at iba pang metabolic o genetic na kondisyon. Dahil dito, maaaring agad na mabigyan ng tamang paggamot at suporta ang sanggol, na makakatulong upang maiwasan ang komplikasyon, mapanatili ang magandang kalusugan, at mapabuti ang kalidad ng buhay niya habang siya ay lumalaki. Ang newborn screening ay isang mahalagang hakbang sa pangangalaga at proteksyon sa kalusugan ng mga bagong silang na bata.
