We had the pleasure of hosting two speech pathology students for their pre-internship observation as they prepare for their internship year ahead.

Pre-internship observation gives students a glimpse into real clinical work—allowing them to learn by watching licensed professionals in action before they step into their own practicum.

After a few days of pause, we’re excited to welcome our kids back to the clinic tomorrow! We’ve missed the laughter, the stories, and the small moments that make each session special.

Rainy days can throw off routines, but we’re here to gently help bring back the rhythm.

𝑭𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝑺𝒌𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆—𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝑬𝒎𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓𝑬𝒅 𝑲𝒊𝒅𝒔 𝑫𝒊𝒅 𝑰𝒕 𝑨𝒍𝒍! 💪🎯

From being shy strangers meeting for the first time to becoming a team that cheered each other on—these kids spent 8 summer Saturdays growing, learning, and having fun together! 💛

EmpowerEd was more than just a summer OT group—it became a space where each child could be themselves, shine in their own way, and learn to practice flexibility in a group setting. 🌈

The program wrapped up last June 28 with a self-planned mini-Olympics! 🥇✨

𝑲𝒊𝒅𝒔 𝒕𝒐𝒐𝒌 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒅—practicing executive function skills like planning, organizing, inhibition, decision-making, and flexible thinking. They also tackled real-life IADLs like budgeting, shopping, cooking, resolving conflict, and designing their team shirts!

What started as weekly sessions turned into a meaningful journey of independence, teamwork, and self-confidence. We’re so proud of every brave step they took. 🌟

🎉 Huge congratulations to our facilitators , T. Jaja and T. Mary, who guided, supported, and empowered these kids every step of the way. Your creativity, patience, and heart made all the difference! 💙💛
