Mga Pagkaing Pampa-relax
Health tips ni Doc Willie Ong

May mga pagkaing nagpapa-relax sa atin. Ang tawag dito ay comfort food.

1. Saging – May sangkap itong tryptophan na nagiging serotonin sa ating katawan. Ang serotonin ay nagpaparelax at nagpapasaya sa atin. May carbohydrates, vitamin B at potassium din ang saging. Kapag ika’y may hinahabol na gawain sa trabaho o eskwela, subukang kumain ng saging. Pagkaraan ng 30 minuto ay mas relax ka na.

2. Carbohydrates tulad ng kanin, suman at spaghetti – Ang mga carbohydrates ay nagpapasaya sa ating mood. Ang carbohydrates ay nagpapataas din ng ating serotonin levels, na nagpapakalma ng ating emosyon. Hindi ba parang kalmado ka kapag nakakain ka ng isang platong mainit na kanin? Mas mainam na piliin yung mga healthy na carbohydrates tulad ng wheat bread, brown rice at mga gulay din. Huwag maniwala sa high-protein diet tulad ng Atkin’s at Southbeach diet dahil ito’y magpapalungkot lang sa inyo. Kaibigan, ingatan lang ang dami ng ating kinakain para hindi tumaba.

3. Mani – Ang mani ay may selenium na nagpaparelax at nagpapalakas sa atin. Mataas ito sa good fats at vitamin E na isang antioxidant. Piliin ang nilagang mani at huwag yung masyadong maalat na mani.

4. Gatas o ice cream –Ang gatas ay may mga bitamina at amino acids para gumanda ang ating mood. Dahil sa gatas, tataas ang serotonin sa ating katawan. At para hindi tumaba, uminom ng skim milk na mababa sa calories.

5. Dark chocolate – Sabi ng mga experto, ang pagkain ng tsokolate ay nagpapataas ng lebel ng endorphins sa katawan. Ang endorphins ay mga natural na hormones na nagpapasaya sa atin. May taglay ding flavonoids ang dark chocolate na mabuti sa ating puso.

6. Chamomile tea – Pamparelax and chamomile herbal tea. Inumin ang mainit na chamomile tea sa gabi bago matulog.

7. Chamomile scent or oil – Ipahid sa balat ang oil para marelax. Puwedeng ilagay sa leeg, kamay at paa.

Ang amoy ng mansanas at iba pang prutas tulad ng mangga at orange at nagpapa-relax din. Sa katunayan, kahit anong pagkaing masarap ay nagpapasaya sa atin. Ang payo ko lamang ay pakonti-konti lang ang kain ng inyong mga paboritong pagkain para hindi tumaba.
