GOLDEN PRINCE: THE JEWEL OF GINO CLICQUE’S LOFT

Golden Prince (BE13-3031767) is one of the greatest pigeons ever bred by Belgian fancier Gino Clicque. A true icon in the racing world, he not only dominated the races himself but also became a foundation breeder whose blood continues to shine through his siblings, children, and grandchildren across Europe and Asia.
WHO IS GOLDEN PRINCE?
✔ BE13-3031767, crowned 1st National Ace KBDB Long Distance (Yearlings) 2014
✔ Considered one of the most celebrated and valuable pigeons worldwide
✔ A record-breaking breeder whose offspring and descendants became national winners
✔ In March 2017, Golden Prince was auctioned at P**A (Belgium) for a record-breaking €360,000 (P23.1M), purchased by South African fanciers Samuel Mbiza and Mark Kitchenbrand, and later transferred to the P**A Elite Center for breeding
THE PARENTS OF GOLDEN PRINCE
✔ Sire: Super Prince (BE08-3172902) – son of the legendary “Figo” of Reynaert. Super Prince himself was a proven racer and became a foundation breeder at Clicque’s loft.
✔ Dam: Daughter of Piraat (BE05-3188928) – from the Robert strain of Robert Dobbelaere, carrying the hallmark stamina and toughness needed for grueling races.
THE BLOODLINES BEHIND GOLDEN PRINCE
✔ Figo Line (Reynaert): Figo won 1st National Bourges (12,266 birds). His bloodline has produced pigeons winning international races with up to 99,000 competitors. As a yearling, Figo won 1st prize three times from Chartres with clear leads.
✔ Robert Strain (via Piraat): Developed by Robert Dobbelaere, this line gave Clicque’s birds the endurance and durability for extreme conditions. Piraat was a top breeder, producing pigeons that could consistently fly 500–700 km races with strength and determination.
✔ Gaby Vandenabeele (Bliksem/Rudy): Gino Clicque added this bloodline to his base, combining Rudy and Bliksem’s speed with Robert’s endurance and Figo’s brilliance. Rudy and Bliksem established the family as proven National Ace producers.
