With the extreme heat these past weeks, fish can spoil much faster if not handled properly. Practicing proper handling, keeping fish clean, and immediate chilling are more important than ever to maintain quality and prevent bacterial growth.
โ ๏ธ Consumers are also advised to handle and store fish properly, as poor temperature control can lead to scombroid poisoning or histamine poisoning, a foodborne illness caused by improperly stored fish.
๐ก Better handling means fresher fish, higher value, and safer food for everyone.
