RISE Clinic through the support of Rep. Pedro G. Trono Memorial Hospital held a solemn Mass Intention in honor of the lives lost to HIV and AIDS, and to stand in solidarity with those currently affected by the condition. The event was presided over by Rev. Fr. Emmanuel G. Tuberada.

The International AIDS Candlelight Memorial, observed annually around the world, serves as a powerful reminder of the ongoing fight against HIV and the importance of compassion, awareness, and community support.

RISE Clinic and Rep. Pedro G. Trono Memorial Hospital offered a mass intention in commemoration of World AIDS Day 2024 and for the repose of the soul of Dr. Sylvia G. Geal (Medical Officer III & former HIV Physician of RISE Clinic). The mass was officiated by Rev. Msgr. Efren N. Condino.

An insightful HIV 101 session was also conducted at RPGTMH OPD Complex by Jennifer Anne T. Tangente (HACT Nurse/Case Manager/HIV Counselor) and PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) promotion by Phele Jan G. Garferio (Peer Navigator/HIV Counselor) as a combination-prevention method. Condoms and IEC materials were also distributed through Shan Rey Naldoza (HACT Alternate Nurse), an initiative to empower the community to stay informed and protected.

Together, we continue to honor lives, spread awareness and work towards a healthier and more compassionate future!

RISE Clinic personnel (Jennifer Anne Tangente, RN - HIV Case Manager & Phele Garferio - ICAP Philippines Peer Navigator) joins 𝘼𝙙𝙤𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙘𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘿𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙤𝙥𝙢𝙚𝙣𝙩, 𝙏𝙚𝙚𝙣𝙖𝙜𝙚 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙜𝙣𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙮 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙎𝙏𝙄, 𝙃𝙄𝙑 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝘼𝙄𝘿𝙎 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙪𝙢 as resource speakers for HIV/AIDS, STI and PrEP. FREE HIV Screening was also provided after the talks.

In addition to raising youth with holistic development, the symposium seeks to arm all Tigbauanon youth with adequate knowledge to make sound decisions in life.
