Strengthening the fight against Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) through the continuous implementation of the ๐’ซ๐“Š๐“‡๐‘œ๐’ฆ๐’ถ๐“๐“Š๐“ˆ๐“Š๐‘”๐’ถ๐“ƒ Program, alongside ๐“จ๐“๐“š๐“๐“Ÿ Registration/Profiling activities at Brgy. Cabasi last March 25 and May 4, 2026 as well as Brgy. Nanga last April 15 and May 11,2026.

These activities were conducted in collaboration with the UP Visayas - Public Health studentsโ€™ community health initiatives:

As one of the 8 Priority Outcomes of the PuroKalusugan program, the activity focused on early detection, prevention, and management of NCDs through PhilPEN risk assessment screening, medical consultations, and provision of essential medicines. Barangay health workers (BHWs) also underwent PhilPEN risk assessment training. Through these initiatives, community members were given the opportunity to know their health status, receive proper medical guidance, and access needed interventions for their diseases.

Guimbal Primary Care Facility would also like to thank Nanga and Cabasi Barangay officials, dedicated BHWs, and the residents for their support and participation. ๐Ÿ’š

Bringing health services closer to the community through ๐’ซ๐“Š๐“‡๐‘œ๐’ฆ๐’ถ๐“๐“Š๐“ˆ๐“Š๐‘”๐’ถ๐“ƒ and ๐“จ๐“๐“š๐“๐“Ÿ Registration/Profiling activities conducted in Brgy. Nahapay last May 22,2026.

The activity served as a meaningful avenue to promote holistic health and empower the community through various health-centered initiatives. Residents actively participated in an energizing Zumba session that encouraged physical activity and healthy living, followed by comprehensive health education campaigns focusing on Tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, Nutrition awareness through Pinggang Pinoy and the 10 Kumainments, Non-communicable diseases, and Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH). IEC materials were also distributed and chlorine were made available for safe water practices among community members.

Medical consultation was also conducted and medicines were provided, ensuring that residents received immediate healthcare assistance and essential treatment.

Guimbal Primary Care Facility would like to thank Nahapay Barangay Council headed by Brgy. Captain Fidel Garpa, Kagawad on Health Jose Marie Gilo, Midwife Arlyn Basco, dedicated Barangay Health Workers, and the people of Brgy. Nahapay for their support and participation.
