🌉 Bridging the Gap: Strengthening Communication in the Face of Substance Use and Mental Health Challenges

Yesterday's activity was more than just a program—it was a collective step toward awareness, understanding, and healing. 💙
We were honored to have PNP Chief PCapt Khent Palo and Sir Tecson with us, who provided a comprehensive and eye-opening discussion on RA 9165, emphasizing the importance of community involvement, law enforcement collaboration, and preventive education in addressing substance use.
Equally impactful was the discussion led by our Mental Health Coordinator, Ma’am Divina A. Terencio, who shared valuable insights into the significance of mental health, how it connects with substance use, and how we can all play a role in fostering a more compassionate and supportive environment. 🧠💬

We are deeply grateful for the support from the Local Government Unit (LGU) and the Department of Health (DOH) & DILG. Your presence and partnership made this activity more meaningful and impactful. 🙌

Together, we’re building stronger communication, breaking down stigma, and empowering our community with knowledge and empathy.
Let’s keep the conversation going. Let’s keep bridging the gap. 💪

The Local Government Unit of Guipos, together with the Municipal Health Office, warmly welcomes the National, Regional, and Provincial Monitoring Teams who conducted the Philippine Multisectoral Nutrition Project (PMNP) Monitoring in our municipality.

During the visit, the monitoring team, along with the National PMNP Team, engaged with our Local Chief Executive, Hon. Vicente P. Cajeta, and the RHU personnel led by Dr. Roann Faye Llupar, OIC-MHO, and Francita C. Petiluna, MNAO Designate, together with Ma’am Chrystal Dela Cerna, Nutritionist-Dietician IV from DOH-CHD Regional Office, and Dr. Francis Alcachupas, Chief Technical Officer from IPHO.

The team assessed the progress of our nutrition programs, reviewed implementation processes, validated data, and visited program sites to see firsthand the impact of nutrition interventions in our communities. Productive discussions were held on current challenges in program delivery, strategies for sustaining gains, and ways to ensure stronger community participation.

Moving forward, LGU Guipos through the Municipal Health Office commits to:

✔️Intensify community-based nutrition activities
✔️Strengthen capacity-building for health and nutrition workers
✔️Improve monitoring and reporting systems
✔️Foster stronger partnerships between sectors to address malnutrition holistically

With the continued support of our partners and the dedication of our leaders, health workers, and community, we remain steadfast in our goal for a healthier, well-nourished Guipos

Dako kaayo’g kalipay nga ipahibalo nato nga ang Rural Health Unit (RHU) sa Guipos giila na isip Adolescent-Friendly Health Facility Level 2! 💙

📣📣📣Dugang pa, TANAN 17 KA HEALTH CENTER SA BARANGAY SA GUIPOS giila usab nga LEVEL 1 ADOLESCENT FRIENDLY FACILITY ! 🥳✨

Unsa man pasabot ani?
