Brgy. Asluman

The PuroKalusugan program was launched in Brgy Asluman on March 26, 2025, with a kick-off activity that offered services addressing the 8 priority health programs of the Department of Health (DOH). The top priority programs for Brgy Asluman were Maternal Health, WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), TB/HIV, and Nutrition.

Throughout the year, the PK Team, comprising DOH HRH nurses, midwives, medtech, RHU nurse, Barangay Health Workers, Brgy Nutrition Scholars, and BSPO, diligently conducted household profiling per purok. They organized large-scale activities such as immunization drives, health promotion awareness campaigns, cervical and breast cancer screenings, rabies awareness month, nutrition month, World AIDS Day celebration, and TB HIV awareness programs.

Monthly small-scale activities under BF1KD included provision of family planning (FP) services, prenatal and postnatal services. The team also facilitated the provision of toilets for households lacking access to sanitary toilets and distributed larvacide and chlorine as part of the WASH program.

The year's activities culminated in the BF1KD Culminating Activity on December 23, 2025. The overall implementation was deemed a success, attributed to the dedication of the PK Team, the Brgy Council led by Hon Jesus J. Tandoy, MHO Dr Sheila May Pamisan Magdaug, and Supervisor Mr Mirven Remu M. Lavilla, DMO IV.

The Mental Health Awareness Program with Mental and Psychosocial Support among adolescents of Brgy Guintas was a huge success! On December 13, 2025, at Charles Place, Funda, Hamtic, Antique, we gathered to prioritize mental well-being and connection.

Hon. Jessie Seguera's warm welcome message set the tone for a day of growth and self-discovery. We kicked off with Zumba, shaking off inhibitions and getting ready to dive in. The Introduction of Self allowed everyone to connect with themselves and others.

Ms. Cristie Marie Barillo guided us through Proper Self Care, reminding us that mental health is a must, not a luxury. Next, Rosabel Cristie Naranjo shed light on Understanding Mental Health and facilitated Body Mapping, helping us understand and express our emotions.

The sense of vulnerability and trust was palpable as we processed their experiences with Belle Pagunsan, Christie Barillo Rica Marie Adrada , Emy Brillo, and Richelle Vista. Hon. Melissa Calicdan's closing message reminded us that mental health matters, and we're not alone.

Kudos to the BLGU Guintas and Guintas BHS Personnel who made this happen! Your efforts will have a lasting impact on our adolescents' lives. Let's continue to spread love, kindness, and support. 💕

The Brgy First One Thousand Days (BF1KD) Culminating Activity with the theme "Nanay nga Healthy, Bata nga Ready!" was a resounding success! The event was held on December 12, 2025, at Brgy Funda, Hamtic, Antique, and was made possible through the tireless efforts of the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Funda, headed by Hon. Gloria Sarah Jane O. Moreno.

The activity kicked off with a high-energy Zumba session, setting the tone for a morning of learning and empowerment. Our esteemed speakers, Ms. Sophia T. Suetado, RND, MPA, Ms. Emy M. Brillo, and Rica Marie T. Adrada, shared their expertise on the importance of proper nutrition during the first 1,000 days of life, breast cancer, and cervical cancer, leaving the participants informed and inspired.

We also offered cancer screening services, including Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid (VIA) and Clinical Breast Exam (CBE), courtesy of Ms. Krishna Ledesma, Ms. Zysamae Jamonong, and Eric Van Irvin Fabila. Additionally, HIV counseling and testing services were provided by Mr. Romeo Alojipan Luy III and John Cris Omapas, ensuring that our participants received comprehensive care.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to BLGU Funda, headed by Hon. Gloria Sarah Jane O. Moreno, for their unwavering support and leadership. Our sincerest thanks also go to our speakers, cancer screening team, and HIV counseling and testing team for sharing their time and expertise. To our Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Sheila May Magdaug, and DMO IV, Sir B**g Lavilla, thank you for your guidance and support. And to our participants - 4PS members, parents/guardians of 0-24 months old children, and pregnant mothers - you were the stars of the show! Your enthusiasm and participation made this event truly special and worthwhile.

Today, December 7, 2025, the PuroKalusugan Team Asluman celebrated World AIDS Day 2025 with the theme "Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response" in partnership with the Brgy Asluman Council and Sangguniang Kabataan officials.

We extend our sincere gratitude to Brgy Captain Hon. Jesus J. Tandoy and the Brgy Asluman Council, as well as Hon. Ramil G. Ongayo and the Brgy Asluman Sangguniang Kabataan, for their support in making this event a success. Our appreciation also goes to our guest speaker, Mr. Reynold Tamon, and Rica Marie Adrada, who shared valuable insights on HIV and AIDS. We thank John Cris Omapas, CBS Motivator, Romeo Alojipan Luy III, HIV/AIDS & PrEP Counselor Peer Navigator from ICAP PH/ASMGH-Paglaum Clinic, and Elljhen M. Tababa, HIV AIDS & PrEP Counselor, Peer Navigator, CBS Motivator from ICAP Global Health-Philippines Western Visayas Medical Center, for providing free HIV counseling and testing services.

We also acknowledge Sir Quilantang and Asluman Elementary School for allowing us to use their covered gym as the event venue. World AIDS Day 2025

As part of the PuroKalusugan Program, Brgy Lapaz TUBOG hosted a memorable World AIDS Day 2025 celebration, focusing on TB/HIV as one of the priority program area.

The festivities kicked off with a fun walk from the Municipal Plaza to Lapaz Esplanade, followed by an energetic Dance Fitness session that got everyone moving.

Dr. Ken Adriel Ledesma shared the rationale behind the activity, emphasizing the importance of collective action in the fight against HIV/AIDS. SB Doc Eva Pacificador and Brgy Kagawad S welcomed everyone, highlighting the significance of community support in promoting health and well-being.

A powerful testimony from a PLHIV (Person Living with HIV) inspired hope and resilience, reminding all that life goes on even with an HIV diagnosis. The event culminated with the glowing of glow sticks, a Pledge of Commitment led by Ms. Luna Ordenacion, and a closing message from Ms. Precious Joy Domingo.
