What an honor to have the Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator !

A huge thank you to Dr. Catalino P. Dotollo,Jr , for being with us during the 51st Nutrition Month Celebration! It really meant a lot , especially knowing how full your calendar must be.
Dr. Dotollo delivered a message that strongly emphasized this year’s theme: 'Sa PPAN: Sama-sama sa Nutrisyong Sapat para sa Lahat! Food and Security Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain Karapatan Natin! He acknowledged the efforts of the barangays in maintaining the community garden and farming initiatives.

Another key highlight of the Regional Nutrition Program Coordinator's message was the strong emphasis he placed on Pinggang Pinoy — a practical, visual tool that promotes healthy eating habits for every Filipino.

Thank you Doc and may your continued leadership continue to inspire change across the region.

Public Advisory No. 2025-008 | February 21, 2025

In compliance with Department Memorandum No. 167, the Department of Health (DOH) is launching the Nationwide Search & Destroy Mosquito Breeding Sites Kick-off for Dengue Prevention and Control, under the theme “Alas Kwatro Kontra Mosquito.”

All Government offices and employees are enjoined to participate in the simultaneous search and destroy activity on February 24, 2025, at exactly 4:00 in the afternoon.

With the unpredictable rainy weather, the risk of mosquito breeding sites has significantly increased, posing a serious threat to public health. While the number of dengue cases in the region remains low, we must remain proactive in our efforts to eliminate potential breeding grounds. This initiative is a crucial step in strengthening regional measures to control dengue and reduce the prevalence of mosquito-borne diseases.

As part of this initiative, all government offices are encouraged to:
𝟭. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗶𝘀𝗲𝘀 to identify potential mosquito breeding sites.
𝟮. 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗲 these sites, such as clearing stagnant water and ensuring proper waste disposal.

Your active participation and support are vital to the success of this initiative. Together, we can demonstrate the power of a unified government approach to dengue prevention and control in Eastern Visayas.
