DOH Secretary while laughing said to us:
“Tanong kasi sila ng tanong paano ba ako naging related kay Jose Rizal so gumawa ako ng Rizal room. Complete with family tree.”
Very inspiring and humbling to see a fellow Rizal descendant, surgeon and Bedan emulating such great love for country and public service. It’s uplifting that from the family lineage came four (4) DOH Secretary from the first until the current. I hope to have my own Rizal room too one day in my clinic or office.
The Department faithfully adheres to provide and safeguard health services to the Filipino people. Thus, it is comforting to know that the DOH does not tolerate violators of the rules and regulation in health services and facilities and I will surely remember to abide by this in my practice. Public safety and public health should always come first. After all, as it is said “salus populi est suprema lex” the welfare of the people is the supreme law.
Onward and upwards, my professional journey and adventure!
