We have successfully concluded our 2-day Mass Blood Donation Activity. From the early morning of Day 1 to the final donor on Day 2, the spirit of Bayanihan was on full display.

In our commitment to building a "Red Cross 143" (RC143) team in every community, the Philippine Red Cross Zambales Chapter recently conducted a comprehensive Community-Based Health and First Aid (CBHFA) training for our dedicated volunteers in the Municipality of Subic.

This intensive 3-day program was designed to bridge the gap between emergency response and community health.

Through this capacity-building initiative, we are ensuring that when disaster strikes or health emergencies arise, there is a trained Red Cross volunteer in the neighborhood ready to take action.👍

🧡Lahat po ay inaanyayahang dumalo sa Blood Donation Drive na gaganapin sa February 26, 2026 mula 8:00 ng umaga hanggang alas 12:00 ng tanghali sa Brgy. BANGANTALINGA Covered Court🩸🩸🩸

💖May benepisyo rin ito sa kalusugan ng donor:
✅ Nakakatulong sa mas maayos na daloy ng dugo;
✅ Nakakabawas ng sobrang iron sa katawan;
✅ At ayon sa ibang pag-aaral, maaaring mapababa ang risk na magkaron ng sakit sa puso.

💜Makibahagi sa pagsagip ng mga Ibanians na nangangailangan ng dugo.

*16-65 years old (Note: 16-17 year olds require parental consent)
*At least 110 lbs (50 kg)
*No surgical procedures within the past year.
* Travel history, medications, and tattoos will be thoroughly assessed during a confidential interview and physical examination.
*Must be physically healthy.
*At least 5 hours of sleep the night before donation.
* No alcohol consumption within 24 hours prior to donation.
*No smoking within 4 hours before donation.

✅𝐓𝐨 𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐚 𝐬𝐦𝐨𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐚𝐟𝐞 𝐝𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐞𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐰𝐞 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐲 𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐝:

*Drink plenty of fluids.
* Avoid fatty foods before donating.
* Get a good night's sleep.
* Do not drink alcohol in the 24 hours leading up to your donation.
* Make a list of all the medications you are currently taking.
* Stay calm and relaxed during your donation, the process is safe and relatively painless.

The halls of UMICORE Specialty Chemicals Subic Inc. were filled with modern day heroes. We held a Mass Blood Donation drive in collaboration with their amazing team, and the turnout was inspiring!
