What a Monday morning at Ibajay District Hospital! ☀️

Our week kicked off bright and early with our traditional 𝐅𝐥𝐚𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲, setting a patriotic and positive tone. We then got our hearts pumping with an energizing 𝐙𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐚 𝐅𝐢𝐭𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 led by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐚 𝐅𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐚 𝐈𝐧𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐨 – a great way to start the week with movement!

Health education was front and center with a very informative 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤 by our very own 𝐃𝐫. 𝐇𝐚𝐳𝐞𝐥 𝐇𝐨𝐩𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐠𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐨-𝐔𝐦𝐚𝐜𝐨𝐛. Spreading awareness and knowledge is key to a healthier community.

We also celebrated creativity and healthy living by awarding the winners of our 𝐈𝐃𝐇 𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐑𝐞𝐞𝐥𝐬 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞! Congratulations to all who participated and inspired us with their healthy reels.

Our 𝐍𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐢 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭 was bustling, offering fresh and nutritious local produce, promoting healthy eating choices for everyone.

And because we're always looking ahead, we held a crucial 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 with the Provincial Engineer's Office(PEO) staff led by Engr. Solano and our contractor to discuss the latest updates on our ongoing infrastructure project. Exciting developments are coming to IDH!

It was a full and productive start to the week, reflecting our commitment to health, community, and progress here at Ibajay District Hospital. We're dedicated to serving you better every day!

Every doctor, nurse, medical technologist, allied healthcare worker, and administrative personnel has played a vital role in ensuring that our Tuberculosis Direct Observed Treatment, Short-course (TB DOTS) program meets the highest standards set by the Department of Health (DOH).

We extend our sincerest gratitude to the Department of Health Western Visayas Center for Health Development & Provincial Health Office - Aklan for your support and guidance which are invaluable in our continuous efforts to provide quality healthcare services to the people of Ibajay and the neighboring towns.

Today, we were honored to host a team from the Department of Health (DOH) & the Aklan Provincial Health Office for the TB DOTS Accreditation Assessment of our facility. 🩺

This rigorous evaluation is a crucial step to ensure that Ibajay District Hospital continues to provide the highest standards of care for Tuberculosis (TB) patients, aligning with the DOH's National Tuberculosis Control Program (NTP) guidelines.

What is TB DOTS Accreditation?

TB DOTS (Directly Observed Treatment, Short-course) is the internationally recommended strategy for TB control. DOH accreditation signifies that our hospital adheres to strict protocols for:
✅️ Accurate diagnosis of TB
✅️ Effective and free treatment with proper supervision
✅️ Comprehensive patient care and counseling
✅️ Robust reporting and monitoring systems

This assessment helps us further strengthen our services, ensuring that every patient receives quality, accessible, and compassionate care in our fight against TB. It also allows us to continue to be a vital part of the nation's efforts to eliminate TB.
