Madam Ma. Lydia "Mal" Ramirez, RN, MSN, is a former educator at Saint Ferdinand College who taught in different departments, primarily in the midwifery department, before serving as a school nurse. She was also the pioneer of the Red Cross Organization at Saint Ferdinand College, established in the late 1980s. Throughout the year, the Red Cross Youth Organization has served various communities and the students of SFC in giving humanitarian support, especially in medical missions, health education, and feeding programs spearheaded by the organization, school clinic, and other departments/offices. The organization taught values of leadership, emergency response, and disaster risk reduction management among the volunteers to the students of the institution, making them resilient and always ready in times of distress or disaster.
With this, thanks to the pioneer of the organization. Students of SFC are now even better at giving a holistic approach to certain circumstances and will continuously promote leadership, resiliency, and mobility to the school and community.
