March is a time to celebrate the strength, resilience, and incredible contributions of women everywhere. This Womenโs Month, the City Health Office 1 and 2 Ilagan took the opportunity to empower and uplift women through a Health Caravan on March 21, 2025 at City of Ilagan Community Center.
The Health Caravan was a day dedicated to promoting womenโs health and wellness, providing free health services, and offering activities for women of all ages, especially pregnant women and women of reproductive age.
What took place during the Health Caravan:
- Lecture Session: Lecture on Safe Motherhood, Fertility Awareness, VAWC and Rabies Awareness
- Free Prenatal Check-ups: Pregnant Women had access to free prenatal consultations with our volunteer OB-GYN Doctors.
- Free Laboratory and Rapid Test Screening for pregnant women
- Free Cervical Cancer Screening via Visual Inspection with Acetic Acid
- Free Family Planning Commodities including Implant and IUD
- Fitness and Wellness Activities through zumba exercises

The event was more than just about healthcareโit was about empowering women to take charge of their own health, to connect with their communities, and to know that their well-being matters. The Health Caravan provided a safe space where women could learn, interact, and most importantly, prioritize their health.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who made this event a successโto Maโam Trisha Marie Diaz, ILAW President for the inspirational message; to Dr. Anabelle S. Sanchez, Family Health Cluster Head for being our guest speaker and for gracing the event; to maโam Anna Kharen Guillermo, Provincial Safe Motherhood Program Coordinator for sharing her knowledge and expertise to the participants, and to all the City Health Office staff and healthcare workers for making this event possible.
