📍🇵🇭 - 7 February 2026 - Among the corporal works of MERCY are to feed the hungry and to give drinks to the thirsty. Indeed, the Religious Sisters of Mercy - Philippines, quickly responded to the needs of the community by delivering food and water to the affected barangays hit by the tropical depression ‘Basyang’ (international name Penha) on 5th - 7th February, 2026.
On 7th February, the Mercy Community Hospital, Inc. visited the evacuation centers in Tambacan Barangay Hall, Tambacan, Iligan City Lanao del Norte and in South 1-A Central School, Tubod, Iligan City Lanao del Norte for food and water distribution. These approaches are their compassionate response to the immediate and most basic needs of the victims.
