Today, we pay tribute to the quiet yet powerful heroism of our blood donors — individuals who, through their simple act of giving, offer others the gift of life, hope, and healing. Their selflessness strengthens our healthcare system and embodies the spirit of compassion that binds us as a nation.

The Philippine Red Cross- Iligan City Chapter, we recognize that voluntary blood donation is not just a noble gesture — it is a lifeline. It sustains hospitals, aids in emergencies, and restores futures once thought uncertain.

Summer Youth Institute (SYI) is an annual Summer event generated by the Philippine Red Cross- Iligan City Chapter, headed by the Red Cross Youth department, with active participation in different services offered by the PRC-Iligan through giving significant training in both life skills and survival skills to Iliganong Red Cross Youth.

This year's SYI is open to all 35 Batan-ong Iliganon aged 12-25.

| On May 18, 2025, the Philippine Red Cross Iligan City Chapter joined the world in commemorating the International AIDS Candlelight Memorial 2025 at the City Public Plaza, Iligan City. With 1 medical doctor, 2 registered nurses, 1 RC143 volunteer, 1 staff member, and 18 Red Cross Youth members, we stood together to honor those lost to HIV and AIDS and to support those living with it.

But remembrance is just the beginning. HIV and AIDS are not just medical conditions—they are battles against misinformation, discrimination, and stigma. The Philippine Red Cross calls on everyone to educate themselves, speak up, and show compassion. Let’s and create a world where everyone can access the care, support, and understanding they deserve.
