Philippine Red Cross-Iligan City Chapter Health Caravan!

71 individuals from Purok Bernales, Brgy. Tipanoy were given free health services by volunteers and staff of PRC-Iligan

PRC’s Health Caravan was made possible by the support of all our partners and individual donors of Typhoon Basyang affected communities.

It is with deep sorrow and a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our Board of Director, Dr. Livey J. Villarin, a dedicated physician of the Philippine Red Cross.

Dr. Villarin faithfully served with compassion, integrity, and a deep commitment to humanitarian service.

The Philippine Red Cross – Iligan City Chapter Board of Directors, Staff, and Volunteers are sending our thoughts and heartfelt condolences to his family, friends, and loved ones during this difficult time. May they find comfort and strength in the legacy of service he leaves behind.

The Philippine Red Cross-Iligan City Chapter conducted a training on the Management of the Dead and Missing (MDM) last Jan. 21 and Jan. 25, 2026.

Management of the Dead and Missing (MDM) is a humanitarian process that ensures people who die during disasters, armed conflicts, or other emergencies are handled with dignity and properly identified, while efforts are made to locate and account for missing persons. It includes the respectful recovery and documentation of human remains, identification through appropriate methods, and the safe return of remains to families. At the same time, it involves tracing services, information gathering, and coordination with authorities to help families learn the fate and whereabouts of their loved ones.
