IV Therapy Training is a specialized educational course that teaches healthcare professionals how to safely and effectively administer fluids, medications, and nutrients through a vein. The Adventist Medical Center-Iligan joyfully held the blessing ceremony of the newly completed Medical Surgical Unit 9, located on the 5th floor of the hospital. This new unit stands as a milestone in the hospital’s ongoing mission to expand its capacity to accommodate more patients and to continuously provide quality, compassionate, and Christ-centered healthcare.

The opening of Unit 9 is more than just an infrastructural development, it is a testament that God’s hand is truly upon this place. It reflects His guidance, provision, and the unwavering faith of the AMCI community to serve with excellence and love. With this additional space, the hospital is now better equipped to meet the growing needs of the community, ensuring that every patient is cared for with dignity, hope, and healing.

As part of the meaningful celebration of our 78th Founding Anniversary of AMCI, a series of community-centered activities marked the official kick-off. Driven by the theme of stewardship, sustainability, and compassion, the celebration began with an environmental outreach and social responsibility efforts.

The first leg of the activities was a Mangrove Planting Program held at Bayug Beach, symbolizing our ongoing commitment to environmental preservation and coastal protection. Volunteers, staff, and community members worked hand-in-hand to plant young mangrove saplings, strengthening the local ecosystem and contributing to climate resilience.

Following this was a Clean-Up Drive, where teams joined forces to collect litter and restore cleanliness in surrounding areas, reinforcing the value of caring for the environment and promoting a cleaner, greener community.

In the spirit of compassion, the celebration extended to Barangay Hinaplanon, where a Feeding Program was conducted to bring joy and nourishment to children and families in need. With smiles and heartfelt service, this initiative reminded everyone that giving back is at the core of our 78-year legacy.

Together, these activities set the tone for a year of purpose and impact — a celebration not only of history, but of hope for the future. AMCI Focus to Excellence Beyond 78
