Free Skin Clinic by the City Health Office in cooperation with the dermatologists from the Philippine Dermatological Society.

Acne scar treatment requires a two-pronged approach. First, we control active acne with proper medications. Once the acne is under control, we then proceed to other treatment approaches from topical creams to more invasive procedures like scar revision. We have done 2 sessions of TCA cross, so far. Although we still have more sessions to go, with continued collaboration between the patient and the dermatologist we can achieve realistic expectations.

Saw this patient more than a year ago in a free medical mission. She had Severe Nodulocystic Acne especially on the cheeks. Out of several patients who I told to come to follow up at the clinic, she was one of the few who came.

She doesn’t come for follow-up often, but has been stringent in following my instructions. Fast forward to the present, her acne has cleared up and she is now more confident.
