As we commemorate World AIDS Day 2025, we call on our entire community to come together under this year’s theme: “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response.” Now more than ever, our collective effort is needed to strengthen awareness, improve access to services, and break the stigma that continues to affect people living with HIV.
Every household, every organization, every barangay, and every youth group plays a vital role. By sharing correct information, supporting regular testing, encouraging treatment adherence, and fostering inclusive attitudes, we help build a stronger and more responsive community. When we work together, we create an environment where no one is judged, no one is left behind, and everyone has the chance to live healthy and empowered lives.
Let today serve as a reminder that progress happens when communities unite. Let us continue engaging in dialogues, participating in local health initiatives, supporting our frontline workers, and advocating for accessible and compassionate HIV services.
Together, we can overcome disruptions in our response—social, economic, or health-related—and move toward a future where education, support, and care reach every corner of our community. By taking action today, we help transform the AIDS response for a safer, healthier, and more compassionate tomorrow.

“Sama-samang magtulungan upang AMR ay mapigilan: AMR bigyang pansin, One Health Approach pagtibayin.”

Antimicrobial Resistance is a growing health concern that affects everyone. When medicines like antibiotics, antivirals, and antifungals stop working due to misuse or overuse putting lives, families, and communities at risk.

At Ilog Main Primary Care Facility, we continue to:

✔️ Provide education and counselling to the public on the proper use of antibiotics.
✔️ Promote responsible healthcare practices.
✔️ Support the One Health Approach—recognizing the connection between human, animal, and environmental health.

Tamang kaalaman, tamang paggamit. Sama-sama nating pigilan ang AMR!

👩🏻‍⚕️🧑🏻‍⚕️‼️TB ANG PANGUNAHING SANHI NG PAGKAMATAY NG PLHIV (people living with HIV)‼️

🫁

Welcome to Ilog

The municipality of Ilog is a second class municipality in the Southern part of Negros Occidental. The town was founded in May 16, 1584 making it one of the oldest settlements in the island of Negros. It is comprised of 15 barangays (villages) with close to around 60,000 people residing the town. It is the town adjacent to Kabankalan City which is a 3-hour drive from Bacolod City.

Its Main Health Center is located in the Poblacion area near the Municipal Covered Court. It is a one-story building which houses the Public Health Offices, a birthing clinic, dental clinic, a laboratory and a medical clinic. It is open on weekdays from 8am to 5pm. But the birthing center is open 24 hours a day every day. With the hiring of the new municipal health officer, the main health center is also undergoing a lot of changes and improvements. It is expected that the Main health center will be “paperless” and will adopt an electronic medical record system by the end of 2019. By the end of 2023, it is aimed that the main health center will also be expanded to provide more spaces and offices for other public health programs. We expect also that the health facility will be tagged as an adolescent friendly facility by the end of 2020. The facility will be undergoing major improvements to make sure that every patient will receive quality care and will be treated as VIPs because every Ilognon deserves a world class quality of health care service.

All barangays have one barangay health station each. Dancalan Health Center houses the municipality’s TB DOTS Center. It also has a birthing clinic. Other barangay health stations are currently undergoing renovations in order to establish their own birthing clinics. There is one dental bus which can go to far flung barangays for dental consultations and other services.
