Madamo gid nga salamat, Iloilo City.

Today marks my final session as your city councilor — your oldest neophyte in the Sangguniang Panlungsod. It has been the greatest honor of my life to serve our beloved city.

To my fellow councilors, SP staff, my office team, city hall officials, and every Ilonggo who believed in me — thank you for the trust, support, and shared journey.

To my family, my rock — salamat guid sa inyo.

I look back with pride and humility on every ordinance passed, every program launched, and every decision made — all rooted in genuine love for the people of Iloilo. Wala ako sang ginpangita kundi ang ika-ayo sang aton syudad kag sang tagsa ka Ilonggo.

Biskan tapos na ang akon termino, padayon gihapon ang paghigugma kag pagserbisyo.

Ako si Doc Nick Baronda — inyo nangin doktor care sa konseho. Nagserbe. Nagpalangga. Kag maga padayon sa paghigugma kag pagserbisyo.

It is also essential to carefully study these measures to prevent mistakes that could lead to disadvantages instead of benefits for everyone.

As a public servant and your city councilor, I remain committed to actively participating in council discussions, especially in the passage of significant legislative measures. I will thoroughly review them and ensure that their provisions align with the needs of our community.

The 49th regular session of the Iloilo City Council was extra special because of the presence of our cute little kids from Talatapan Learning Center. They sang beautiful Christmas songs before the session started, bringing joy to everyone.

This holiday season serves as a meaningful reminder that everything we do today should be for the benefit and bright future of our children.

Last week has been incredibly productive for Joeann Nicole Baylon, my counterpart as the Girl City Councilor for the Boys and Girls Week celebration.

She joined me in the regular session, gaining firsthand experience of a city councilor’s responsibilities. Together, we participated in public engagements, including delivering wheelchairs to constituents. She also attended the Huluaran sang Katigulangan award ceremony, where she met and interacted with the awardees, and had the opportunity to visit the office of Congresswoman Jam Jam Baronda.

I hope that through these experiences, she gained a deeper appreciation for public service and civic engagement—values that, I trust, will inspire her in the future.

Despite the heavy downpour, our commitment to serving the Ilonggos remains unwavering. Together with my counterpart, City Councilor Joeann Nicole Baylon, we distributed free wheelchairs to our beloved Ilonggos in Barangays Don Esteban, Rizal Pala-Pala II, and Tanza Baybay.

The beneficiaries are:

We hope that these wheelchairs will bring some relief and ease to the daily lives of our beneficiaries.
