Day 1 of the Basic IV Therapy training program in collaboration with Association of Nursing Service Administrators of the Philippines, Inc. (ANSAP) Iloilo Chapter begins with an introduction to the basic foundation of IV therapy.

Nurses learned about anatomy & physiology of the circulatory, vascular & integumentary systems, fluids & electrolyte problems & imbalance, standards & ethico-legal aspect of IV therapy, transfusion of blood & blood components and parenteral nutrition.

Special thanks to our speakers & certified nurse preceptors for today's topic: Dr. Jay Buensoceso, APMCI Pedia hospitalist, Dr. Omar Z. Montejo ANSAP National President & Nurse Director, Emie Rose Amor M. Silva, MAN-NSA, RN, Asst. Nurse Director, Christine Calzado, RN- Nurse Supervisor 7A, & Nenita Natividad, RN for sharing their expertise & valuable knowledge and insights on IV Therapy.

This essential training builds confidence and competence & develop nursing skills & attitude to master the art of IV therapy for safe and effective patient care.

On August 30, 2025, at Asia Pacific Medical Center Iloilo, we reaffirm our commitment to enhancing the skills of our nursing staff. Our nurses assigned to specialized areas are currently undergoing Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training.

We would like to extend our greatest appreciation to the instructors from the Philippine Heart Association of Western Visayas Panay Chapter: Dr. Geoffrey Adelantar, Dr. Ma. Silva Theresa De Pili, and Dr. Jamil John Baterna for sharing their expertise, knowledge & skills.

This program equips our nurses with essential knowledge and hands-on experience to respond effectively in emergencies. By strengthening their capabilities, we ensure the highest standard of care for our patients.
