A significant event dedicated to awareness, compassion, and professional responsibility. Held last February 13, 2026,the program aimed to enhance understanding of leprosy, promote early detection and proper management , and reaffirm the vital role of healthcare workers in eliminating stigma and upholding patient dignity .

Spearheaded by the 5B unit under the leadership of Ms. Lariza Castañon, Nurse Supervisor and Ms. Karen Kaye Natividad-Robles, Head Nurse the audience were enlightened on the disease process and management of leprosy as Dr. Daphne Faith H. Estrada shared her expertise and experience as Leprosy Coordinator. On the other hand, RN Apryl Grace S. Jontarciego talked about nursing management.

We are overjoyed to share the successful ventriculoperitoneal shunt placement and repair of a leaking myelomeningocele for a newborn here at Asia Pacific Medical Center – Iloilo.

This milestone was made possible by our expert surgical team: Dr. Jabines (Neurosurgeon), Dr. Laud (Neuro Anesthesiologist), Dr. Yanson (Pediatric Anesthesiologist), and Dr. Comuelo (Pediatric Neurologist). Combined with the advanced technology at APMC – Iloilo, this tiny patient is now on the road to recovery.

We send our love and strength to the family as they begin this journey toward healing.

In celebration of Philippine Heart Month, the Nutrition and Dietetics Department Batch 1 Interns of the University of San Agustin conducted a Heart Health Lecture for OPD patients on February 3, 2026. The activity focused on promoting heart-healthy nutrition and lifestyle practices to increase awareness and support disease prevention.

This initiative was carried out as part of the interns’ requirements for their Hospital Dietetics Practicum.
