𝑾𝒉𝒆𝒏 𝒘𝒐𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝒔𝒖𝒑𝒑𝒐𝒓𝒕 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒖𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒕 𝒐𝒏𝒆 𝒂𝒏𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓, 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒖𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒔 𝒃𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒏𝒈𝒆𝒓. 💜✨

From March 16–31, 2026, the initiative 𝐏𝐚𝐠-𝐚𝐛𝐲𝐚𝐧 𝐬𝐚 𝐊𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐛𝐚𝐲é𝐧-𝐚𝐧: 𝐀 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐃𝐫𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 became a meaningful avenue of compassion, generosity, and empowerment for young girls in need.

The official turnover was held on April 10, 2026, featured not only the distribution of donations but also a hygiene lecture through the T.H.E. Module to promote health awareness and self-care among the beneficiaries. 🫶

A total of 27 beneficiaries received:
🪥 Hygiene Kits (wipes, soaps with containers, toothbrushes, sanitary pads)
🩺 Pediatric medicines
😷 Face masks
🖍️ Coloring materials
💜 Sanitary napkins

Last March 19, the 𝐖𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐧’𝐬 𝐂𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐕𝐒𝐔 𝐂𝐎𝐌 🌸 officially opened at the Roxas Hall Facade, together with the launch of 𝙋𝙖𝙜-𝙖𝙗𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙨𝙖 𝙆𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙗𝙖𝙮é𝙣-𝙖𝙣🫂, a Women’s Month donation drive, in partnership with the GAD Offices of the College of Medicine and College of Nursing, along with the Medicine Student Council and Nursing Student Council. The opening was warmly celebrated by WVSU COM students, who were welcomed with free ice cream as we marked the start of these meaningful initiatives.💜

The event was graced by Dr. Michelle Dignadice and Dr. Agnes Gerasmo of WVSU COM GAD, Dr. Charmaine Malata of WVSU OSA, Dr. Luzsil Catedral, together with the Dean, Dr. Celina Cordero-Gellada.💗

In celebration of Women’s Month, the Order of Asclepius, in partnership with the Gender and Development Office of the College of Medicine and College of Nursing, together with the Medicine Student Council and Nursing Student Council, proudly launches Pag‑abyan sa Kababayén‑an, a donation drive initiative in support of vulnerable girls and women.

Through this initiative, we aim to provide supplies to the DSWD Home for Girls in Brgy. Pungtod, Cabatuan, Iloilo, a temporary residential facility providing 24‑hour care for girls under 18 with special needs, offering a safe and supportive environment as they prepare for reunification with their families and communities.

In celebration of the 22nd National Buntis Day and Women’s Month, volunteers from the Order of Asclepius served at the medical assistance desk today at Robinsons Iloilo. Our team spent the morning (10 AM to 12 NN) assisting in the vaccination of several expectant mothers, ensuring a safer and healthier journey.

We extend our deepest gratitude to the 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗢𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗲𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝘆𝗻𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 (POGS) Panay Chapter for this meaningful opportunity to serve, and a special thank you to Dr. Cheryl Nuñez for her invaluable guidance and assistance throughout the event.

Volunteers from the Order of Asclepius served at the medical assistance desk during the celebration of International Working Women’s Day at the forum “Women Leading Change: Stories from Every Sector” organized by the Panay Alliance of Concerned Citizens for Health and Environmental Protection held today at St. Clement's Church, La Paz, Iloilo.

In the spirit of IWD, the gathering amplified women’s voices across sectors, sharing lived experiences, advancing calls for health, environmental protection, and social justice, and echoing concerns about the impact of the 12% Value-Added Tax (VAT) on workers and consumers. ✊💜

The “factory reset” trend suggests that sexuality can be changed or “reprogrammed,” reviving harmful myths that LGBTQ+ identities are defects instead of natural human diversity. This rhetoric echoes discredited conversion narratives and reinforces stigma that many communities have fought for decades to dismantle.

Major health authorities, including the American Psychological Association, affirm that sexual orientation is not a disorder and cannot be changed through pressure, coercion, or forced relationships. Pride isn’t a glitch and identity is not something that needs fixing.

On this HIV is Not a Crime Awareness Day, let’s stand together to challenge myths, promote understanding, and uphold the human rights of everyone affected by HIV. February 16–22 is Aromantic Spectrum Awareness Week 💚🤍

Being aromantic means being part of a marginalized community, and awareness and support help create a safer, more inclusive world. If you hold privilege, your voice can be a powerful tool in making aromantic experiences visible and understood.

✨ How to be an ally:
• Believe someone when they come out to you as aromantic and thank them for sharing.
• Educate yourself about aromantic identities and experiences.
• Correct misinformation and false assumptions, even when no aromantic person is present.
• Amplify aromantic voices and perspectives.

🌟 Aromantic people experience many meaningful forms of connection beyond romantic love, including platonic, queerplatonic, and other non-romantic bonds,and these deserve recognition and respect.

Let’s celebrate the aromantic community, challenge amatonormativity, and commit to being informed, compassionate allies.
