Please be informed that today, December 26, will be the LAST CLINIC DAY of the HIV and AIDS Core Team (HACT) – Western Visayas Medical Center for the year.

In line with the upcoming holidays and scheduled non-working days, the HACT Office will temporarily suspend clinic operations after today.

Clinic services will RESUME on
Monday, January 5, 2026.

Clients are advised to plan their visits accordingly.

For urgent medical concerns, please proceed to the Emergency Room or nearest accessible hospital.

Please be informed that the HACT Office will be closed this Friday, December 12, 2025, in line with the celebration of World AIDS Day 2025 and the 30th Anniversary of the HIV and AIDS Core Team (HACT) - WVMC.

This closure is to allow the team to facilitate and participate in the scheduled activities for this milestone event.

Regular operations will resume on Monday, December 15, 2025.

Dear valued clients‼️

Due to inclement weather and persistent flooding caused by Tropical Depression Emong and the Southwest Monsoon, your safety remains our top priority.

To minimize risk, we are offering alternative ways to access your antiretroviral medications. You may opt to refill your ARVs via courier, delivery rider, or through a meet-up with your case manager.

If you prefer to visit the HACT office, please message your case manager, any HACT staff, or this page to schedule an appointment.

Floodwaters may seem harmless—but they could carry deadly bacteria.

Leptospirosis can lead to severe illness or even death if not treated early.

1. Watch out for symptoms like high fever, muscle pain, red eyes, and jaundice.

2. Doxycycline can help prevent infection—consult your doctor before taking any medication.

3. Avoid walking in floodwaters. Wear boots and gloves. Keep wounds clean. Practice proper sanitation.

If you’ve been exposed, visit your nearest health center immediately.
