How are you building your resilience?

We often spend time and money trying to make our lives easier. Although some of this is helpful, it can actually lower our ability to handle difficulties in life. We want to purposely work on increasing our resilience so we can handle uncomfortable situations. How do we do that? One way is to purposely make one of our five senses uncomfortable. For taste, we might purposely eat food that feels too foreign, too bland or too spicy. For hearing, we might sit in a loud place and write an email. For sight, we might sit outside in the bright sunlight. For touch/feel, we might stay in a room that is a little too hot or cold, or perhaps we go on a longer hike than normal. What are small ways you can make yourself uncomfortable to build resilience?
