Join us as we light together this solemn commemoration of lives lost to AIDS, as well as a moment of solidarity for people living with HIV (PLHIV) in this year’s 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐈𝐃𝐒 𝐂𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔. With the theme “Peer Magic: The Power of Connection, Care, and Lived Experience”, this event mainly organized by Mother Candide Center unites diverse sectors into one community with a shared purpose: to always remember, to collectively support, and to genuinely encourage PLHIV that life is still worth living.

AMSA WVSU participated in Operation Tuli 2026 Surgical Mission held at the Igbaras Covered Gym, Barangay 1 Poblacion, Igbaras, Iloilo in collaboration with the Municipal Government of Igbaras, Igbaras Municipal Health Office, and Dr. Christian Earvin D. Bondoc.

A total of 12 medical students worked alongside 9 doctors, including Doc Chan, to assist in the delivery of safe and organized surgical services. The mission provided essential circumcision procedures to 100 children of the community, supporting preventive health and improving access to basic surgical care in a rural setting.

AMSA extends its sincere gratitude to the Municipal Government of Igbaras, Igbaras Municipal Health Office, Dr. Christian Earvin D. Bondoc, and all volunteer physicians for making this meaningful outreach possible. The initiative strengthened community based healthcare delivery and brought essential services closer to those in need. 💙❤️

AMSA WVSU participated in the Medical Mission: Diabetes Risk Screening and Project Culminating Activity held at the Barangay Hall Grounds, Barangay 6 Poblacion (Banile), Igbaras, Iloilo.

In collaboration with Project ASUKAALAMAN, Diabetes Philippines ILOGA, Igbaras RHU, and UPV Health Services Unit, a multidisciplinary team of 4 doctors, 6 AMSA WVSU volunteers, 7 UP PH members, 5 UP HSU personnel, and 3 UP students worked together to provide community based screening and health services. The mission reached an estimated 130 individuals, focusing on early identification of diabetes risk and promoting awareness on preventive healthcare.

AMSA extends its sincere gratitude to all partner organizations and healthcare professionals who made this impactful initiative possible. The outreach strengthened community awareness on non communicable diseases and reinforced the importance of early detection and preventive care in improving long term health outcomes.

AMSA WVSU participated in SK Nueva Union Ready, Set, Tuli! held at Nueva Union Elementary School in partnership with the SK Council of Barangay Nueva Union, Nueva Union Elementary School, and Passi City Primary Health Care Facility.

A total of 10 volunteers worked alongside Doc Rufon to assist in the delivery of safe and organized circumcision services. The mission catered to 108 patients, ensuring accessible preventive surgical care for young boys in the community while supporting health education and proper post procedure care.

AMSA extends its sincere gratitude to the SK Council of Barangay Nueva Union, Nueva Union Elementary School, Passi City Primary Health Care Facility, and all healthcare providers involved for making this impactful outreach possible. The initiative strengthened community based healthcare delivery and brought essential services closer to families in need.

AMSA WVSU participated in Project ALITATAP’s Nanga-Tatap Medical Mission held at Gilo Medical Clinic & Laboratory, Brgy. Nanga, Guimbal, Iloilo in partnership with UPV and MIANA last May 2, 2026.

Eight volunteers worked alongside three doctors to deliver essential healthcare services to 58 patients, addressing immediate health concerns and supporting improved access to medical care within the community. The mission strengthened community based healthcare delivery through collaboration and service oriented engagement.

AMSA extends its sincere gratitude to UPV, MIANA, and all healthcare professionals involved for making this meaningful outreach possible. The organization remains committed to initiatives that bring compassionate and accessible healthcare to communities in need.

AMSA WVSU participated in the UPIS 9th Medical-Dental and Circumcision Mission held at the UPV Covered Court in partnership with UPIS Alumni Association, Universal Eye Check Optical, All UP Workers Union Iloilo Chapter, UPV Ugnayan ng Pahinungod Oblation Corps, UP Validus Amicitia, and UP Fisheries Guild.

A total of 26 volunteers worked collaboratively to deliver comprehensive healthcare services to 136 patients, providing medical consultations, dental care, optical services, and surgical circumcision procedures. The mission strengthened access to essential health services while fostering strong inter organization collaboration in service of the community.
