‼️ FIREWORKS-RELATED INJURY UPDATE | Western Visayas ‼️

Pitong (7) kaso ng fireworks-related injuries (FWRI) ang naitala sa Western Visayas mula Disyembre 21 hanggang Disyembre 29, 2025. Ang bilang na ito ay 41% na mas mababa kumpara sa kaparehong panahon noong 2024.

Kabilang sa mga biktima ay mga bata at matatanda, patunay na walang pinipiling edad ang panganib na dulot ng paputok. Boga ang nangungunang sanhi ng FWRI na may dalawang (2) kaso, sinundan ng triangle, kwitis, whistle bomb, baby rocket, at di matukoy na uri ng paputok, na may tig-iisang kaso.

Ang lahat ng pitong (7) kaso ay nagamot at nakauwi na.
Ang mga datos na ito ay mula sa mga Sentinel Hospitals na binabantayan ng DOH Western Visayas Center for Health Development (CHD).

Sa pagdiriwang ng mga okasyon, mas mahalagang piliin ang kaligtasan ng bawat isa. Iwasan ang pagpapaputok, manood na lamang ng community fireworks displays, at gumamit ng mga ligtas na alternatibong pampainay at pailaw.

Kung may aksidenteng dulot ng paputok, agad na magtungo sa pinakamalapit na ospital o tumawag sa DOH Western Visayas Regional Health Emergency Management Section sa 0939-9881-818.
