Bell’s Palsy:

Bell’s Palsy is a condition that usually develops from a viral infection affecting the facial nerve.

Initially, most people will feel pain behind their ears or a sense of numbness or pulling. They may experience difficulty drinking out of a glass.

Some believe they may be having a stroke; however, this condition does not extend beyond one side of the face.

Bell’s Palsy Symptoms:

Alarmingly, one will also notice their face drooping over to one side, inability to wrinkle their brow, a drooping eyelid, and the inability to close their eye.

Symptoms may last a few weeks for most people with complete resolution. However, there are a small percentage of individuals who will have residual deficits.

Many patients experience muscle cramps or pain anywhere on the face or the head. Some feel fatigued.

The early one seek for treatment, the faster the recovery. Seek for proper medical intervention immediately you have any of these symptoms.

What Is Physical Therapy?
Physical therapy is a non-invasive field of medicine that focuses on maintaining, developing, treating, and restoring physical function and body movement. Physical therapy treatment is often suggested to patients who have suffered an illness or injury that has become a hindrance to their daily life.

A licensed health professional that supervises a physical therapy treatment is called a physical therapist or physiotherapist. As every patient’s condition is different from another, they come up with a care plan after evaluating your condition. The treatment plan may contain hands-on treatment and specific exercises to assist your body’s movement and function.

Cerebral palsy can result in mild to severe motor impairment.
Some people will have motor impairment in their legs, only on one side, or only in their upper bodies. Everyone experiences cerebral palsy differently.
Being physically active may be more difficult and exercises may take longer for people with cerebral palsy, but movement promotes flexibility.
Neuroplasticity is the brain’s ability to rewire itself and adapt. When you regularly repeat an exercise, neuroplasticity is stimulated, and neurons fire along new pathways.
The more you stimulate neuroplasticity, the easier an exercise will become.
Remember, any movement is better than no movement, and every little bit of practice counts.
