FIRST BLOOD TRANSFUSION
It is with great honor that we mark a significant achievement at Francisco Dagohoy Memorial Hospital. Today, July 4, 2025, our medical team successfully performed the first blood transfusion within our facility.
This significant achievement marks a new chapter in our commitment to delivering comprehensive and life-saving healthcare services to the community. The procedure was conducted safely and efficiently, reflecting the dedication and expertise of our clinical and support teams.
The activity was headed by our Chief of Hospital, Dr. Alan A. Torrefranca, Doc Allan Torrefranca whose leadership and guidance were instrumental in ensuring the successful implementation of this vital service. We also commend our medical teams, attending physician Dra. Jhejean Cenabre, nurses, Ms. Janus Clyde Estose, ma’am Jill Fortuna, ma’am Trixie Andulana and laboratory staff headed by Sir Kyle Niño Quiñones for their professionalism and teamwork.
The launch of in-hospital blood transfusion services further strengthens our hospital’s capacity to respond to urgent patient needs and enhances the overall quality of care we provide.
