FIRST BLOOD TRANSFUSION

It is with great honor that we mark a significant achievement at Francisco Dagohoy Memorial Hospital. Today, July 4, 2025, our medical team successfully performed the first blood transfusion within our facility.

This significant achievement marks a new chapter in our commitment to delivering comprehensive and life-saving healthcare services to the community. The procedure was conducted safely and efficiently, reflecting the dedication and expertise of our clinical and support teams.

The activity was headed by our Chief of Hospital, Dr. Alan A. Torrefranca, Doc Allan Torrefranca whose leadership and guidance were instrumental in ensuring the successful implementation of this vital service. We also commend our medical teams, attending physician Dra. Jhejean Cenabre, nurses, Ms. Janus Clyde Estose, ma’am Jill Fortuna, ma’am Trixie Andulana and laboratory staff headed by Sir Kyle Niño Quiñones for their professionalism and teamwork.

The launch of in-hospital blood transfusion services further strengthens our hospital’s capacity to respond to urgent patient needs and enhances the overall quality of care we provide.

On June 28, 2025, we successfully conducted our first major surgical operation within our hospital—an accomplishment that signifies growth, readiness, and commitment to serve.

This achievement is not merely a medical procedure completed; it is a reflection of months of preparation, dedication, training, and teamwork. Our sincerest gratitude goes out to our competent and compassionate medical team, our diligent nursing staff, and the entire hospital workforce who have worked tirelessly to make this possible.

We extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to our Surgeon-Dr. Harold Gallego, attending physicians, Anesthesiologist- Dr. Maria Elena Oripaypay, and operating room nurses whose professionalism, skill, and compassion made this procedure possible.

Please know that this is entirely untrue. We have available Doctors 24/7 in our Hospital to ensure all the medical needs and to respond any emergencies and other health needs at any time. Our dedicated team of healthcare professionals is always here to serve and support you with the highest level of care. We are deeply committed to honest service, open communication, and the well-being of our community.

More so, our Outpatient Department (OPD) check-up schedule is from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday, except SATURDAY, SUNDAY & Holidays. In case there is no available doctor for OPD, we have on duty Doctor in Emergency room that can cater your needs.

Moving forward, we will continue to work and to provide the best possible care and will always remain transparent with the public. Your trust and health matter most to us, and we’re grateful for your continued support.
