Even dogs get cancer too ❤️‍🩹

A 14 year old dog was presented to our clinic with lump near the a**s, upon physical examination, the patient has delay CRT and prominent palpable lymph nodes.
Upon screening the blood works, the patient has pancytopenia, liver injury, acute kidney injury and with blood parasite.
The condition was treated first; for patient’s stabilization prior to His surgery.

After thorough examination, radiograph
examination(thanks to the referral clinic) and consideration the patient went through surgery(tumor removal and castration; because it reduces androgen (testosterone) levels, which fuels cancer growth.

Biopsy sample: hepatoid carcinoma.

Hepatoid gland carninoma/ cancer, more formally known as hepatoid adenocarcinoma (HAC), is a rare and aggressive malignancy that resembles hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) but originates in organs outside the liver.
Tisoy is still for monitoring but up to date is in good condition ♥️

We asked the consent of the owner before posting Tisoy’s case.
