STATEMENT OF UNITY AND DEFENSE OF INTEGRITY:
A RESPONSE TO RECENT ISSUE
The Thoroughbreds Alumni association issues this statement in response to the recent anonymous submission posted on the "CvSU Secret Files" regarding the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS).
We are deeply disturbed by the unjust, derogatory, and defamatory statements directed at our institution and its constituents. As an association, we vehemently reject these unprofessional , personal pronouncements and stand firm in defense of our college's honor.
A Legacy of Excellence
The CvSU CVMBS has long been a bastion of academic rigor and professional training. Our college does not merely educate; it breeds skilled, knowledgeable, and ethically grounded veterinarians and professionals who are notable figures in the field and industry today. The track record of our alumni—who serve in clinics, government agencies, research facilities, and agricultural sectors across the Philippines and abroad-stands as the undeniable proof of the quality of education provided within its halls. Standards are Necessary, Not Oppressive. The study of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences deals with life, health, and public safety. Consequently, future veterinarians are molded with set standards that are rightfully high and uncompromising. The rigors of our academic environment where we came from are designed to ensure that every graduate is competent and ready to handle the heavy responsibilities of the profession. To misconstrue these high standards as oppression or incompetence is a disservice to the hard work of both the faculty and the aspiring doctors who dedicate their lives to this path.
Condemning Irresponsible Anonymity
While we advocate for freedom of speech, we condemn the abuse of anonymity to spread malice without accountability. Defamation masquerading as a "confession" serves no constructive purpose; it only seeks to tarnish a reputation built over years of hard work. We urge the administrators of such platforms to exercise prudence and responsibility in screening submissions that border on libel and harassment.
Our Stand
We remain committed to the values of Truth, Excellence, and Service. We will not let the anonymous words of a few overshadow the tangible achievements of the many.
Let our competence be our loudest defense.
