We are glad to share the success of our recent outreach activity held at the provincial jail! 🤝

Our team has provided dental check-up and tooth extraction services conducted by our very own Dr. Kristian Rumar Boholst-Dentist assisted by Ms. Mary Grace Jabien - Assistant to the hospital Dentist as well as Mrs. Minda Jabla and Mr. Charleston Caseres. In line with this activity Ms. Jamaica Jacalan, Phil Health E-Konsulta Provider Designate conducted a Free Registration to all detainees and process their Phil Health Card for future use.

We are grateful for the collaboration of our Dental Department and Phil Health E-Konsulta including personnel from other departments for their time and effort faithfully extended to this marginalized community.

This outreach activity not only improved the oral health of the prisoners and provided them the health cards for their future use but also showed them that they are being cared regardless of their situation.

Thank you to everyone involved in making this outreach program a success! 🙏

Nourishing Body and Soul at MOPH-Initao 🙏*

Today, we also gathered for our monthly Eucharistic Celebration, led by Rev. Fr. Lourdesio Armstrong P. Balacuit, SSJV, newly assigned Parish Priest of the Roman Catholic Church of Initao. The mass was a beautiful experience, bringing together our admin staff and employees in prayer and reflection. This sacred moment allowed us to pause from our busy schedules and focus on our spiritual growth.

Why Spiritual Growth Matters?

As healthcare professionals, we recognize that our work is not just about caring for the sick but also about caring for the whole person - body, mind, and spirit. Spiritual growth is essential to our well-being, enabling us to provide compassionate and holistic care to our patients. Following the General Assembly that was held today, the Nursing Service Department also successfully conducted a session on Basic Emergency Obstetrics and Neonatal Care (BEmONC) — a vital step in strengthening our emergency maternal and newborn care services. 👶🏥👩‍⚕️

We were honored to have Dr. Karen Lou Fajardo, MD as our esteemed resource speaker, who shared her expertise and practical insights on handling obstetric and neonatal emergencies with skill and confidence. Her dynamic lecture truly empowered our nurses and midwives with life-saving knowledge and enhanced preparedness.

We are glad to share the success of today's "Buntis Class", a meaningful initiative dedicated to empowering our expectant mothers through constant education and care.

The session began with an engaging and insightful lecture on Breastfeeding and Lactation led by Ms. Vanissa Cortez, RN. Her discussion emphasized the importance of proper breastfeeding techniques and the benefits of lactation for both mother and baby.

To further equip our participants with essential knowledge, Mr. Elmer Cabactulan, RN delivered an informative talk on Family Planning and responsible parenthood.

Dr. Kristian Rumar Boholst, our dedicated hospital dentist, gave a valuable counselling on Dental Care, stressing the importance of oral health during pregnancy.

We thank all our resource speakers and participants for making this session a success! Together, we continue to promote healthy beginnings for every mother and child. 💚

Breaking Barriers, Building Smiles😁

We're proud to share the success of our recent dental care mission held at the Misamis Oriental Provincial Jail, conducted by MOPH- Initao.

Our dedicated Hospital Dentist, Dr. Khistian Rumar B. Boholst, DMD provided compassionate and expert dental care to 14 prisoners who received tooth extraction services today. Thank you so much dental team for your collaborative effort in making this activity a great success.
