Fatty Liver: Ano Dapat Kainin
Payo ni Doc Willie Ong

Maraming may fatty liver na resulta base sa ultrasound. Ang fatty liver ay taba na naimbak sa selula ng atay at kadalasan ay nakikita sa mga edad 40’s at 50’s.

Kadalasan ay walang sintomas ito pero sa ibang pasyente ay lumalaki ang atay, makirot sa kanang bahagi ng tiyan at madaling mapagod.

Ayon sa mga eksperto, maaaring may kaugnayan ang fatty liver sa pagiging mataba, mataas na asukal sa dugo o diabetes, mataas ang triglyceride at kolesterol. Ang iba pang risk factor ay PCOS o Polycystic o***y syndrome, hypothyroid at iba pang sakit.

Tamang pagkain sa fatty liver:
1. Kumain ng mga 2 tasang gulay at 2 tasang prutas kada araw.
2. Puwede kumain ng mais, patatas, kamote, ube at kamoteng kahoy. Magbawas sa kaning puti.
3. Mabuti ang protina galing sa isda, mongo beans, karne, manok na walang taba, low fat milk, yogurt at soya milk.
4. Piliin ang healthy fats tulad ng mani, kasoy, garbanzos at olive oil. Umiwas sa butter o krema, mayonnaise at sebo.
5. Panatilihin ang tamang timbang at regular na mag-ehersisyo.
6. Tubig ang pinakamagandang inumin para sa iyo. Umiwas sa matatamis na inumin.
