A 25-year-old patient came in for nose surgery.
He had vehicular accident last 2023 and had multiple facial trauma. Underwent facial bone surgery, however, nasal bone needed further reconstruction.
Patient was having difficulty breathing due to collapsed nose, which also negatively affected his confidence.
Nasal reconstruction was done using rib cartilage graft as implant under general anesthesia.
Nasal skin was contracted due to the entrapment of nasal tissues to the broken nasal bones. Nasal bone was shattered and nasal septum was deviated which made the case very complicated.
Patient is currently on his 3rd week from operation and is still in his healing stage.
We are both very happy and satisfied with the outcome... Finally, he can walk outside without a face mask on and ultimately, he can breath through his nose again.
