The inclusion of Isulan as 1 of the 3 project municipalities in Sultan Kudarat (inc. Lebak and SNA) in the 5th n 6th country programmes of UNFPA was soo epic. It paved for the improved RH and quality of life for the men, women youths, adolescents, children and neonates..
Epic talaga ang pagpupuyat sa planning ni mayor at nakuha ng Isulan ang 1 slot intended sa poorest municipalities ng province..Epic events noon ang 3 days Summer Youth Camp, wow sa mga youth leaders ng Isulan..international youth leaders' con ang dating! The unforgetables! RAI..the Rainbow Association of Isulan..making waves with their talents and beauty?! and we shouldn't forget, the main goal in organizing them was them being responsible for their health and well being..the AYF rooms, the cancer-support group. with only 1 meeting, isang basong luha yata combined ang nalaglag..sa mga nanay, zero maternal death for 3 yrs in Isulan..published in Heartbeat, a DOH news alert
Indeed, health for all is my main platform, with bias to the poorest among the poor, the most vulnerable, and the most at risk population...

The Community- based Rehabilitation Project (CBRP)...
CBRP was an offshoot of the Kutis Kilatis program or the Leprosy Control Program of the DOH. The project's primary goal was to provide rehabilitation/ interventions to community members with physical deformities/disabilities due to leprosy..It evolved to include CVD/stroke patients and incidental findings of numerous cases of mental retardation, due to Down's syndrome and other causes in the area..The project provided funds to hire a physical therapist and technical support for the MHO CBRP team, which includes a one month immersion in UP Camp , Manila by the team, including the physical therapist, the nurse coordinator, the RHM and selected BHWs.The Mho was spared due to other functions. The Philippine Leprosy Mission provided the funding support coming from the American Leprosy Mission.The family members of the afflicted were taught PT techniques, exercises, and social skills as needed to rehabilitate the patients. Truly a helping project as afflicted families were spared from rehab expenses!
