Today, I was deeply touched by a simple yet powerful gesture from a dear schoolmate from high school. She sent over a bilao of palabok and a bilao of lumpiang shanghai in my office, her way of saying thank you for the medical care I had extended to her.

Minsan, sa gitna ng pagod at bigat ng responsibilidad bilang isang doktor at lingkod-bayan, isang simpleng salamat o isang thoughtful gesture is more than enough to lift the spirit and remind us kung bakit natin ginagawa ang ating sinumpaang tungkulin.

To my generous schoolmate, from the bottom of my heart, salamat kaayo! Your gesture is a beautiful reminder that goodness still makes its rounds in this world.

To everyone reading this, let us keep sowing kindness wherever we go. You never know whose heart you might brighten today.
