He is also the USM SAVER Adviser and alumnus of the organization.
Dr. Tenorioโs inclusion in the Top 10 reflects his contributions to scholarly research and publication. As a Scopus-indexed author, his work meets the standards of Scopus, a global database managed by Elsevier that indexes high-quality, peer-reviewed journals. These publications follow strict review processes and are recognized for their reliability and academic impact across various fields.
In 2025, USM produced a total of 63 Scopus-indexed publications. The majority of these works came from the fields of Social Sciences, Agricultural and Biological Sciences, Environmental Sciences, and Medicine and Health Sciences. These priority areas continue to drive the universityโs research output and contribute to broader global goals, including the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Further demonstrating his commitment to advancing research and academic writing, Dr. Tenorio recently served as the resource speaker in a ๐ช๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฒ๐๐ต๐ผ๐ฝ ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด conducted by the ๐๐ฉ๐ ๐ณ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐๐น๐๐ on ๐๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐น ๐ฎ๐ฎ, ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ. The activity aimed to strengthen faculty competencies in academic writing and publication.
During the session, Dr. Tenorio provided practical guidance on selecting appropriate journals and navigating the publication process. He also introduced USM-managed journals, including the Journal of Agricultural Research, Development, Extension and Technology (JARDET), as a platform for disseminating scholarly work.
Participants were guided on how to recognize and avoid predatory journals to ensure the credibility and impact of their research. The training also covered procedures for applying for publication incentives, equipping faculty members with additional support mechanisms for their research initiatives.
