KABANKALAN CITY. On December 6, 2025, LDZDH proudly held its first-ever Fun Run for a Cause, dedicated to supporting the Haplos Center - LDZDH and its patients. This meaningful event was organized in solidarity with World AIDS Day — whose 2025 theme is “Overcoming disruption, transforming the AIDS response.” This reaffirms our commitment to raising awareness, fostering compassion, and strengthening support for people living with HIV (PLHIV).

Thank you to all runners, partners, and advocates whose participation shows that even amid challenges, hope, solidarity, and community care can drive real change.

KABANKALAN CITY. The Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital (LDZDH) has successfully received its re-accreditation as a 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫-𝐚𝐧𝐝-𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 (𝐌𝐁𝐅𝐇𝐅) and accreditation as a 𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫-𝐚𝐧𝐝-𝐁𝐚𝐛𝐲 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 (𝐌𝐁𝐅𝐖) from the Department of Health – Negros Island Region Center for Health Development (DOH NIR-CHD), both valid for a period of 𝓽𝓱𝓻𝓮𝓮 (3) 𝔂𝓮𝓪𝓻𝓼.

The Mother-and-Baby Friendly Health Facility (MBFHF) program is a continuing initiative of the Department of Health that promotes and upholds the Ten Steps to Successful Breastfeeding and adherence to the Philippine Milk Code (E.O. 51). This program ensures that hospitals provide mothers with the knowledge, skills, and supportive environment necessary to initiate and sustain exclusive breastfeeding.

Meanwhile, the Mother-and-Baby Friendly Workplace (MBFW) program recognizes institutions that advocate for the welfare of breastfeeding employees through the establishment of lactation stations, the implementation of lactation breaks, and the adoption of policies that enable work-life balance and maternal wellness.

These accreditations demonstrate LDZDH’s continuing commitment to uphold the rights and welfare of mothers and infants, as well as to foster a workplace that values family health and employee well-being. The hospital remains steadfast in its mission to promote, protect, and support breastfeeding—benefiting not only its patients and staff but also the broader community it serves.
