It is with a heavy heart that we share this news of our beloved LUDOVICO “TOTO VIC” MEŇEZ, JR.’s passing last January 13, 2022 at 12:50 a.m. For one year, he has been battling with brain tumor, going in and out of hospitals, taking chemo and radiation. He has fought hard and braved the pain of treatment and being away from his home. We may have lost a father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and mentor, but heaven has gained an angel.

Once again, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all the generous hearts who have in one way or another supported us through prayers and extended financial help for his medications and hospital bills. Especially to the Ismael-Briones Family who let us stayed in their home for almost a year for free.

We are aware, the words “Thank You” are not enough. We are hopeful that God will turn your gestures into a big blessing of goodness in your family. We will always keep you all in our prayers. GOD BLESS everyone!

U P D A T E…
Be exalted, Oh God, above the heavens! Your glory be over all the earth! (Psalm 57:6)

After 45 days of being hospitalized, on April 6, Papa Vic (Ludovico Meňez, Jr.) was discharged from St. Paul’s Hospital after several days of delay due to some complications. With NGT and catheter still on, he is now staying with his family in a house in Iloilo, owned by a good Samaritan family who allowed them to stay awaiting for his scheduled radiation treatment.

Sad to say but, we, the family has to accept the fate that he has a malignant brain tumor. After two weeks rest, he has to undergo 33 sessions of radiation according to the doctors. From all the medical theories, we submit to radiation and still hope for God’s providence, a miracle. We entrust everything to God’s will.

To our family, relatives, colleagues, and friends, We take this opportunity to express our gratitude for offering prayers, mass petitions, and especially those who shared their blessings, extending financial help for his medical expenses. Your gestures meant a lot to us, in one way or another, you eased our burden. We could feel the presence of God through you. What we could do for now is to be grateful. In every way, may God bless you in return.

Again, we are still knocking in your generous hearts for prayers, help, and support. Hi, friends! Our uncle, Engr. Ludovico Meňez, Jr. or Papa Vic as we fondly call him, is currently confined in the hospital (St. Pauls Hospital) in Iloilo City since February 19. A tumor was found in his brain and he is going to undergo radiation for his treatment. As his medical expenses increases, the family’s financial situation is in constraint. Thus, we are launching this “BULIG KAY PA VIC: A FUNDRAISING PROJECT” to help ease our financial burden as our family has no other source to meet the medical expenses for his prolonging treatment. As we continue to fight this battle with Papa Vic, We are asking for your benevolence. Thank you so much and God bless us all.
