🙏 A Moment of Grace: Visit of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno 🙏

With hearts full of reverence and awe, we thank the Lord for the blessed visit of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno to Aklan Cooperative Mission Hospital. Though His stay was brief, His sacred presence was profoundly felt—like a divine whisper reminding us that God walks among His people, especially in places of healing and suffering.

As we beheld the image of the suffering Christ, carrying His cross for our salvation, we were reminded that He too carries our burdens, our pain, and our fears. Just as the woman with the hemorrhage believed she needed only to touch the hem of His garment to be healed (Mark 5:28), so too did we feel that even a passing visit of the Nazareno could bring miracles of grace, healing, and renewal.

This moment was not just symbolic—it was sacramental. It reminded us that Christ is Emmanuel, God with us, walking through the wards, blessing the patients, anointing the staff with strength, and renewing the mission of compassionate care entrusted to this hospital.

May His cross continue to be our strength. May His wounds be our healing. And may His mercy be the light that guides every heart in this hospital.

In today’s world, where body count or “S-Line” is casually discussed, let’s also talk about responsibility, protection, and awareness. The more unprotected sexual encounters you have, the higher your risk of contracting HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

This July, the country observes National HIV Prevention Month.

Let us remember the ABCDE strategy to prevent contracting HIV:
A - Abstinence
B - Be Mutually Faithful
C - Correct Choices such as Consistent and Correct use of Condoms and Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
D - Do Not Share Used Needles
E - Educate Yourself
